Third line on tang stamp (right under Louisville, KY) is "Made In USA"...I believe this was a product of Blue Grass Cutlery.

Mine doesn't say "Made in" but it does say USA on the tang stamp. However, on the back it says China.

The pile side tang stamp on my John Primble says "Authorized Reproduction Stainless"

I used to own a Chinese-made Primble (although mine did not say "China" on the tang stamp like yours); but, I sold it because I didn't like the over-scorched charred bone handle on the one I got (maybe it was so ugly even China refused to claim it!)

Hope I don't get in trouble, fits the criteria length wise, but it's kinda fat.

Joe, Rough Rider calls that their "Sowbelly" Trapper. I kinda like that pattern. I have a couple that are the large variety. Maybe I should scoop up one of the 3¾" varieties like yours. Hmmmm ::hmm:: Now see what you've done?

Joe, is that a Mini-Trapper (3½" closed) or a Tiny Trapper (2 & 3/8" closed)

~Q~ I believe we're going to have to agree to disagree on this one.

A 6220½ Trapper Nut @ closed length 2-7/8" has a Peanut frame (rounded drop top bolster) with a trapper compliment of blades as shown here, taken from the Case Knife Outlet web site. ---► https://www.caseknifeoutlet.com/proddet ... 3106123C44

This is a Tiny Trapper 62154 @ 2-3/8" closed. Note the squared off top bolster.

It would be interesting to know what the manufacturer (Crowing Rooster) calls it.
It looks like the love-child of a tiny trapper and a trappernut.
Once we have a measurement, we'll know which "parent" it resembles more.
Meanwhile, big homer's term, "itty bitty mini trapper" will have to suffice! ::undecided:: .

Sorry to disappoint you but you didn't start a ruckus. ::sotb::

So it's neither one. It's a plain old everyday Crowing Rooster brand Mini-Trapper.

Well, if I'm going to post a Squid knife, I might as well round it out with a Doggie knife (they don't make a Zoomie that I know of)

I don't know anything about 'squids', 'doggies' or 'zoomies', so I will just post this one for all (branches), since after all, they're all for one (country), right!

Squid (Navy) - Doggie (Army) - Zommie (Air Force), Marine Corps (Jarhead)

It's all in good fun. ~Q~ is correct. We are all for one, USA.

No offense was taken. Sure didn't mean it to sound that way. I have heard the term Squid and Doggies & Dogface, Jarhead or Jirine, but have never heard the term Zoomies. We always called them Flyboys. Like you said, all in good fun. ::tu::
