This is a John Primble 731...with no badge..also I think the scales are bone rather than delrin..but not sure..all info and pics I can find have badge...any help with age and aprox. Value would be appreciated..thanks

Good morning!! I need help...new to this group and am a bit unsure as to what I am doing exactly..lol.
There are so many forums and such! Did I post this message in the wrong place? This is my second post and I posted my first one in two different places and think that was frowned upon....would I have been better served to have posted somewhere else?

The knife looks to be a Camillus made for Belknap Hardware. You didn't state the closed length but I believe this is a 3 1/4" frame. Being a small stockman pattern in used condition I would guess the value is somewhere around $25 give or take. Made in 50''s or 60's?

John Primble model 731...it does have that and the Hdw store you mentioned...did Camillius make knives for Primble? All pics I can find of this model 731 have a shield...this one does not? Probably worrying folks with a not very important issue..but new to this!

The bone handles make it a bit older than the delrin models. I think the lack of a shield might put it towards the end of the bone handled knives. Not sure exactly when that would be but mid sixties or earlier be one guesstimate.

It looks very similar to the bone handled knives Camillus made for Sears, Craftsman Sta-Sharp line, 1930's & 1940's. Some years a pattern might have a shield and other years not. There were minor changes made continually. Maybe it helped sell more knives ?
Likely a contract with Primble would have been similar.
