Newest Case Pick-Ups

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

That red bone 6347 looks outstanding!!!!!! Beautiful knife!

This thread always makes me drool! ::drool:: These knives are really beautiful. I suppose Case is my first love even though Queen gets a lot of my attention. The handles on these old knives are something else! New ones a nice but these old ones are great.

I picked up these two last month. The burnt grey bone is Tru Sharp, while the yellow 3347 is Chrome Vanadium. I like both steels Case use, but am partial to carbon steel myself. When I don't carry my big Case 75 in CV, the smaller green stainliess 47 is what I usually carry daily.
Thanks everyone.

The 07 in "genuine stag" finally arrived today. I'm very pleased with the mark side handle. Pile side? Typical Case over hafting. Overall I'm very pleased with my first Genuine Stag 07.

It means they ground away most of the bark (character of the Stag) from the front of the Stag scale to make that seamless transition from handle to bolster instead of thinning the handle from the back side.

Thanks Steve! I saw that knife last year and really thought about getting it. Too many times I will wait, and then Case stops making a particular knife and I have to look on Ebay. So I bit the bullet so to speak and ordered the burnt gray and yellow CV stockmans last month. The gray really is growing on me. I'll probably start to carry the yellow CV one more. Like I said, I'm partial to the green barn shield 6437 I have, or the big 75 CV stockman.
Stay safe!
Phil
