A Prayer of Deliverance

There are times in each of our lives that rain falls, hard times come and it helps to reach out to our friends and to our God for a little support. This is the place to express those needs, concerns and situations so others in the AAPK family can keep you in their prayers.

David, thank you for posting scripture and heartfelt prayers that help remind us who is actually in charge of the ongoing world crisis.
It is good to be reminded of where we stand as believers. I know there are some folks that may be offended by prayer and scripture but I feel the Lord gave a clear invitation by saying, "Whosoever will" that in no way forces anything down anyone's throat.
Keep up the good work! ::handshake::

James 1:2-3 (NKJV)
2. My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,
3. knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.

Father you have allowed me to be tested, but I have held fast to Your word and
Your promises to deliver me from my enemies.

You have heard my prayers and provided me with hope that no matter what happens
to me in this life I shall live with You for eternity.

Heavenly Father you’ve told us that we have not, because we have not ask.
Lord I’m humbly and boldly asking that we quickly be delivered from the spread
and death of this virus.

Father I have faith that You hear my prayers and that You are true to answer them
according to Your will. May I show patience to wait upon You and that this trial will soon be over.

I offer this prayer in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen. ::pray::

John 14:31-32 (NKJV)
31. And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”
32. And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased.

The Apostle Peter after seeing Jesus walking on the water said to Him command me to come to You on the water, so the
Lord said “Come.” Peter stepped out of the boat and walked toward Jesus, but when Peter realized how bad the storm
was he began to sink and cried out “Lord save me!” As you can see in scripture Peter took his eyes off Jesus and focused
on the storm around him, then his faith began to weaken as he doubted the power of the Lord.

Father, in the midst of this raging storm hear our prayers.

Lord as we walk through this storm let us be prepared and help one another, always keeping our eyes on You,
and knowing full well of Your authority over any storm.

Fortify our faith Lord that we may not doubt Your power, let us not weaken and fall victim to the storm.

Father, as You commanded the wind to be still we pray that You take the storm of this virus from among
Your people and that You restore us to praise and worship You forever and ever.

In all things may You be honored and glorified, in the blessed name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

I read this in one of my devotionals and I thought it was perfect for where
all of us are at this moment and it gave me the confidence to know that all will be okay.

Isaiah 4:10
“Do not fear, for I am with you.
Do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you.
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

A prayer by Doris W. Rikkers:
“I am so weak, and you are so strong.
I know that in your strength I can do anything.
Give me peace to face the choices of yesterday.
Give me strength to face the tasks of today.
Give me hope to face the challenges of tomorrow.
Amen.”

This is my prayer for today:
My spirit soars, and my belief and confidence in Your word
is stronger than ever.
My joy is in Christ Jesus my Lord and Savior, and in Him
I will trust my soul and salvation. I do not fear these times,
because I am protected by the power of God our Creator.
In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

A Very timely devotional David!
Thank you for sharing it!!
.
Heavenly Father....
Thank you for the comfort you pour over your children in times like these. Father, we are so thankful to have You to lean on and run to in times of trouble. We KNOW You are there waiting with open arms to hold us in your safety and warmth.
.
Father we pray for those who do not have you for a shelter in these times. The ones who do not know You in times of trouble are indeed miserable.
Father, we pray that you will draw these unto you so they might find a saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son.
The world is hurting and you are the comforter.... Please lay your healing and comforting hand on us all dear Heavenly Father.
In the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ we pray....
Amen

Heavenly Father more than ever we need You in our daily lives. Father I pray that just because we are not gathering in a building that we will not fail to pray and worship You, because we are still Your church. That we will continue to spend time with You in prayer and listening with our hearts to Your message for our lives.
Father help me to think about others during this time of trials and do whatever I can to help the lonely or sick.
Lord increase my faith in Your word, strengthen my will to serve You may I be a reflection of Your love for all of us.
In the blessed name of Jesus and for Your glory I pray. Amen.

That is a very good list of non-cancellations David!
We can't afford to sit and let an opportunity like this slip by us as Christians. We have got to let our lights shine! The world needs Jesus!
We as Christians have a HUGE responsibility.... We have to let our lights SHINE and let our lives be a witness to God's love.
As it has been said, "Christians are the only Bible some people will ever read".... What an awesome responsibility we have....
Let others that need Jesus, see Him in YOU...
.
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat,
I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink,
I was a stranger and you invited me in,
I needed clothes and you clothed me,
I was sick and you looked after me,
I was in prison and you came to visit me.
.
Again....
Let others see Jesus in YOU.
.
Thank You Heavenly Father for this new day....
Father, please cover us with your blanket of protection.
Help us to help others.... How ever You would want us to.
Whether it is by a phone call, or a trip to the store to pick up some things for a shut in. May we ALL grow closer to You during this hard time.
Let others see Jesus in ME.
In the name of Jesus..... Amen

Father thank you for Your watch and Your care over each of us as we all cope with this virus. Let us all remember that You are still in control and even though we may not understand why this is happening, we know that You will deliver us.

Matthew 25:35
35 "For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in;"

Sunday our church had a parking lot "drive by" to drop off food and/or cash for a local food bank that feeds our local poor and elderly shut ins. When I got home I thought of this passage in Matthew about the Son of Man will judge all the nations and how we did or did not help those in need.

Father to You all praise and glory. Lord keep us all mindful of the needs of family and neighbors all around us especially during challenging times as we find ourselves now. Father may I give sacrificially to those in need that they may see the love of God through my actions. Father show me each day how I can help at least one person and make their day better and may they then praise Your name. In Jesus name I prayer and for Your glory. Amen. ::pray::

You know a lot of us have been isolated with our families or just by yourself and that can very soon start to test your patience even with someone you love very much. As many of us have said before "my patience with you is getting thin" or words to that effect. When that happens we sometimes say things that hurt others so we need to be very careful.

Father, fill us with enough patience, O Lord, to love one another and share Your goodness and graciousness with others even when we don't feel like doing so. Renew in us the gifts of the Spirit. Increase our compassion and kindness to all those around us; make our words be gentle and humble; and above all, make us patient as we wait for the future and Your continuing glory.
In Your Holy Name we pray. Amen.

I agree David.....
We have less patience with our family and are quicker to throw out short and mean words or show disgust VERY quickly when it comes to those closest to us. We need to reign in our tongues and try to keep a clam spirit.

Father, please help us to find a better understanding for the feelings of those closest to us. We are learning lessons daily regarding how to SHOW love to those in the world around us. People who need to see our lights shine aren't always strangers... Sometimes they are our closest family. Give us a gentile and kind spirit during these trying times...
Thank you Father for your Grace.
In Jesus name..... Amen

Thank you everyone for reading our prayers and they are meant to be for all of us.
The past couple of days I have felt a little low and I just haven't been in a very prayerful state of mind. Of course that is my own failing and my own lack of faith. I found this scripture this morning and it has brought me back in focus I believe.

Psalm 139:7-10
"Where can I go from Your Spirit, O Lord? Where can I flee from Your presence? If I go up to the heavens, Your are there; if I make my bed in the depths, You are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there Your hand will guide me, Your right hand will hold me fast."

Father, Almighty God, Fill my heart, my mind with Your love and presence. Let my actions and my words reflect that love and that You are ever present in my life. No matter if I am on the mountain top or in the depths of the earth, may I always remember You are with me. All I need to do is reach out and take You hand. This time of crisis will not have victory over me, because You will deliver me, for Your right hand will hold me and Your Spirit will calm my soul. May You be glorified in all things, in Jesus name I pray. Amen.

For this post my focus is not on our current situation, but on Easter Sunday and what God did for all of us.

Yesterday God’s only son Jesus Christ died. He was wrongly convicted, his body beaten to near death and then nailed by the hands and feet to a wooden cross for all to see. He was verbally scorned and then had a sword thrust in His side. Is this something you could do for one person let alone for all mankind? Do you have that kind of love?

Tomorrow we will celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, His victory over death and the grave. I have two quotes I would like to share.

“God proved His love on the Cross. When Christ hung, and bled, and died, it was God saying to the world, 'I love you.” by Billy Graham

“Contrary to what you might hear today, Jesus Christ is still the King of kings and Lord of lords and He is totally in control.” by John Hagee

Father I pray not for those of us that have accepted Your salvation, but those who have not. I know that Christ loved and freely gave His life not just for one, but for all. Father I pray that this Easter season your Holy Spirit will convict the hearts and minds of those that are lost and on the road to an eternity full of pain and suffering. Lord, tomorrow and every day may You be honored and glorified for the act of love You demonstrated on that day. In the blessed name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
