No, this isn't a couple of bricks of cocaine. No knife shows to attend, so I have been doing a little shopping by mail.
I have gotten to know this farmer in Ohio, who is not only great to deal with, but he also has some really nice knives. (Thanks Roger)
I will post pics of any of these which haven't previously been posted. Don"t want to duplicate any, I know you guys get bored enough as it is, looking at knife pictures all day

Here's the weirdest Case knife I own ... its a 4 blade stockman (could this be called a "whittman" - 1/2 stockman, 1/2 whittler
) on the 47 frame. First pic is what it was like when I got it (factory grinds were awful - rounded over the point on the sheepsfoot and coping blades and the spey grind was an atrocity near the tip). Before you scroll all the way down to the last picture - see if you can see what's the real oddity with the blades before I give it away with the last picture (hint, it's not the addition of the coping blade) ...
Here's after I cleaned up the grinds & tweaked the spey (kinda like how that one came out) ...
The really weird part of this knife is ....
wait for it ...
ready ?
The clip blade is from a muskrat, not a stockman - only thing I can think of is that blade substitution was done to give better access to the nail nick on the coping blade (here's a comparison between the whittman and a standard 47 stockman) --->

John, you did a fantastic job re-profiling those blades. I saw the muskrat clip blade but it didn’t register when first looking at it. What an oddity that one is. Nice knife.Lansky1 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 11, 2020 4:30 pm Here's the weirdest Case knife I own ... its a 4 blade stockman (could this be called a "whittman" - 1/2 stockman, 1/2 whittler) on the 47 frame. Very interesting information John! I never would have noticed that muskrat blade being on there.Lansky1 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 11, 2020 4:30 pm Here's the weirdest Case knife I own ... its a 4 blade stockman (could this be called a "whittman" - 1/2 stockman, 1/2 whittler) on the 47 frame. Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
Here's a little knife option ... Opinel #5 compared to the familiar Case peanut to get a feel for the scale. I haven't had an Opinel in years, so I figured for $12, I'd try one again. It's surprisingly well made friction folder for the cost - blade stays closed firmly, no chance it will open in the pocket. For a knife this size, I definitely don't need it to lock (the #5 doesn't have the locking ring), so I think it's a pretty good value for those of us that carry a wee knife from time to time ...

Gorgeous knives everyone.
I just retrieved this from the post office. An Imperial, 2 blade, "HECHO EN MEXICO" pocket knife.
It needed no cleaning. I took some pictures and here they are.

I see I neglected to post this stag handled Mini-Trapper in this thread. It showed up yesterday. The seller had more than one to sell so I was a little trepidatious about buying it without seeing the handles but the Mark side turned out alright and the Pile side is acceptable.
