This set, knife and box always makes me smile. Wayne wants kind enough you allow it to be in my collection. I'm sure there are other bullet boxes out there but I've not ever heard of anyone that has one.

These two are two of my favorites. Made by Master Seizo Imai, these are a few of the last knives that he made before his passing in 2014. If these look familiar, that’s because they are a Loveless design. Mr Imai was well known for making these knives designed by Bob Loveless. These are probably the closest I will come to having one of the original Loveless knives. The Damascus stainless steel on these is beautiful. I don’t collect many fixed blades but these are the best fixed blade knives I own. I enjoy looking at these and handling these, it does bring some pleasure. It’s like fishing, when I fish I don’t think about anything but fishing. When I have one of these in my hands, I don’t think about anything else but these. The craftsmanship, fit and finish are a pleasure to look at.

Here is a group shot, I seem to really like knives in groups, it gives me an endorphin release looking at these. These are a collection of Rigid knives made by Canal Street. I honestly can’t pick one to be my favorite from this group, I like them all. This is a complete set of these knives. Rigid dropped this project in the middle of production. SMKW picked up all of each pattern and offered them on their “Knives Live” tv show many years ago. These sold out in minutes. Looking at this amber bone stag you can see why.

I used to watch Chris Kirk's knife show many years ago with his "killer car crusher" knife deals. He's on Facebook and appears to be doing some online shows.

But more importantly, that Remington knife and box are amazing.

This is a humbling thread. There are many awe inspiring knives shown so far. I realize how plain and almost commonplace my collection is. I still enjoy my knives greatly but this thread is showing me a 'level' of collectible knife that i did not know existed, the Remington with box being an example, along with others.
Definitely 'uplifting' and with a dose of reality about the knives i have, therefore also educational.

I gotta agree with the above, this stuff makes my yard sale/flea market collection look like a booger. But I still get a charge out of sitting in my chair and opening this drawer.

This was my first custom handmade knife. The Wharncliffe master blade on a Doctor pattern and the handle material were my choices...the filework is all Mr. Crenshaw's idea (one of his "signature" features...see article below). This knife always makes me feel all warm & fuzzy inside whenever I look at it.

He made this bespoke Elephant Ivory Wharncliffe Doctor knife (#1818) for me in 2011...when he was 83 yrs old!

Blades & backspring: ATS-34, bolsters & liners: 410 stainless. Closed length = 3½"

After reading this article in Knife World, I contacted Al by snail mail with my design request and he agreed to make it for $250.00. All communication was done by handwritten letters mailed via USPS. Sent him my first letter on March 10, 2011 and received the finished knife on April 15, 2011...pretty amazing turnaround time for a custom build from scratch. I saved all his letters (with their respective postmark-dated envelopes) in my files.

What a great idea for a thread, Roland! Thanks for starting it. Some amazing knives being shared, and from all corners of the knife world. I have several family heirlooms that make me happy, I've shared them before. I was thinking more of this one, a John Lloyd custom. I just love the color of this stag. It's also one of the first customs that I started carrying regularly.

The Stag on the John Lloyd Trapper looks a lot like some that was on Rigid knives made by Canal Street. Great looking knife.
The picture of Al Crenshaw at age ~80 looks very much like my father did at that age. I needed to look twice.
Everybody has a 'treasure' of some sort and on a knife collectors site one of our treasures is sure to be a knife.
