Case 5318.

About the shed... I was taking a walk in the woods out behind my parents house (Maine) a couple years back. I look down and find my first ever antler. So I look around in hope of finding its mate. No, but I did find a second antler. I don't think it was from the same buck as the first because it was a bit smaller. Two sheds within 5 minutes! Both in perfect condition, no breaks, cracks or teeth marks from critters gnawing on them.
I left the smaller one with Mom and Dad.

A fine knife & a fine shot, Steve.

I get a thrill every time I find an antler. Some times more than others. One winter morning I was looking out my bedroom window, watching three young bucks that each had one antler left. Until I noticed that only two had an antler left. I didn't actually see the one fall off but I did put my clothes on & went & picked it up. Another time I found a nice fresh shed near my pond. I should have looked around a little more because, months later, I found the matching antler a few feet away & like you say, rodents had been gnawing on it all that time.

Am I the only one that carries the same thing, day in, day out, year in, year out? Hmmmm. Perfect example of a creature of habit.

For any who haven't seen it before, it's a Camillus 72 Frankenknife built for me by Rob (Whitebuffalo58). Love it.

I have seen it and admire you for carrying one knife all the time. Wish I could find that one knife I could carry. My constant companion sort of thing. I just like all my knives and like toting different ones. Maybe one day I will settle on one. I have managed to narrow it down to about 10. LOL. I like your knife Jerry. Seems like it could do all asked of it.

Kevin, having only one EDC is just a life long habit. Simply put, it's the way I'm wired.

I carry the same two every day. A Klaas & a Winchester. And on the weekends I carry the one Jim built for me so 3 altogether.
I keep on buying knives so I'll have more EDC's and then I put them in my show case time after time. ::shrug:: ::hmm::
