I've never seen more absurd and ridiculous prices for pieces of paper in my life.
Good luck to them on their capitalism foray.

Who knows somebody may want it bad enough.
Several years ago I listed an empty cardboard box on ebay with a starting bid of 99 cents. It ended up selling for just shy of $100.
It was a box for a 1950's Colt Woodsman pistol.

I always hate to see somebody put a $10 item on the bay with a buy-it-now of $100 and then you see that "make an offer" button. It is so ridiculous that I never bother.... BUT, maybe we need to make a real, sho 'nuff down to earth offer at about 1/10 of the asking price.
Just fishin'.... that's all... just fishin'....

Some time ago I posted a topic of “Reasonable offers considered”. I did this jokingly because I can’t seriously make a reasonable offer on an item that is unreasonably priced. The two just don’t go together. Oxymoron. Since that post eBay, or I should say sellers, have gotten absolutely ridiculous with these fishing for suckers sales. If someone is willing to accept less than 50% of the original asking price I would say the original price was a gouge.
I recently offered an eBay seller $1 for a $3 knife that was priced at $375. The seller countered with $175. I thought my offer was the only thing that was reasonable.

If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

You should have counter offered at $2 & maybe he would have at least understood that you were onto his ridiculous ploy. Then again, I've done that kind of thing and all it does is rise my blood pressure - it's not worth the agida, dealing with unreasonable sellers like thatbtrwtr wrote: ↑Thu Mar 19, 2020 1:01 pm Some time ago I posted a topic of “Reasonable offers considered”. I think I have the catalog to go in the envelope. Wonder what the combination would be worth?
