Sorry to learn that Tommy. Sounds like she had a great life, and you did what you had to do. I’m sorry for your loss.

Sorry to hear of your loss. People who take good care of their pets are just the blessed.

When we cried in front of the vet why God had given us so little time with our
dog ( 3 years) she replied those years were packed wonderful times so there
was a Plan. We just did not know it at the moment.

I'm sorry for your loss, I know it's hard. Been there myself.
I hope when the time is right you'll find room in your heart and your home for another cat. After 19 years I have no doubt you're a cat person.

You have my heart-felt sympathy, Tommy. I have been there and will be going through it again, perhaps this year. It is a sad thing but we do have the memories.

Tommy...so sorry for your loss. I thought we had a long run, when we had to put our cat, of 16 years, down, this last year. It sounds like your love and care, contributed to an amazing 19 years with ellie mae. Our pets are definitely our family!

.........thanks, doc, she showed up on our woodpile while my dad was still alive,he's been gone 19 years, she was nearly full grown then so she may have been closer to 20 than 19...this makes 14 pets buried in the back yard now....it's about full.....we miss them all!!...................

Sorry to read about your kitty, Tommy. 19 is a good long life for a cat, but that is little consolation for losing a member of your family like Ellie Mae. My mom recently put her cat down, who was also 19 years old.

I didn't have cats for a number of years, after having to put both of ours down for unrelated health reasons. I just didn't want to go through that pain of losing a pet again. Then our son wanted to get a cat, so we rescued one last year, and she is an absolute joy. She makes us laugh everyday.

I hope the pain will lessen for you soon.
