I have not seen this 2006 GEC before. Was it an SFO ?
As far as i am aware in 2006 GEC only made two patterns, the 23 & 73 and both came with stag handles. In addition to this laser etched #23, what other handles are on the 2006 knives ?

To be honest I'm not sure if it is a SFO or not - I thought this was one of their "kick-off" knives along with the patterns you mentioned. I will try and find my paperwork on it and see if anything is there.

Regular run, not an SFO. I have one also. Here is a link to the totals and handle variations. http://greateasterncutlery.net/blog/wp- ... 3/2006.pdf

Thanks Russell. So in 2006 there were only 2 patterns made, the 73 & 23, but there are quite a few different handles. I have a #73 Burnt Stag 2006 that i bought new in either late 2006 or very early 2007. I think many of the 2006 knives did not reach dealers until January 2007.
