Remington

Does Remington still make their own knives? If now who does?

I know they are still made in the USA.

Remington bullet reproductions were made by Camillus in the USA (possibly some by others?), I don't know what happened with that line since Camillus closed. Remington recently also began importing a large line of knives made in China, seemingly by the same factory that makes Rough Riders.

When did Camillus close, maybe the knives I am wondering about were made by Camillus?

I just assumed the knife was brand new when I bought it 6 months ago.

I think I just figured out the answer to my own question. I have a Bear & Son toothpick that is darn near identical to the Remington.

You are correct, some of the new Remingtons are made by Bear & Son.

Remington hasn't made their own knives since about 1940.

Camillus made the bulk of them until a few years ago, and now they are made by several different companies.

Bear & Sons are making the USA made ones.
There are a lot of Remingtons made in China now.
Fox of Italy is making some of the newer higher price tactical folders and fixed blades.
