Picked up a batch of Aerials. The one without scales was gassing and I removed them, which was a shame because the blades are really nice. The smaller Coke is starting on the reverse scale so that will come off too but the rest are very nice. I love the big picture hunters. ____Dave

From the gun/knife show, zero old knives but I did alright on two modern knives and only bought them because they were cheap. Gerber Bear Grylle (I'll try this one out at work) and a SOG flash 1 with a safety and side lever lock release. I paid $15 for the pair. The dealer also had a new Benchmade for $100 which I believe is a good price but I didn't need it so I passed. ____Dave

Some good pick ups on those two, and the price was right. That Bare Girls knife (yeah, I'm being facetious ) is not a bad knife and is decent for medium type work. I have one similar to it, and I've used it around the house and outside for small tasks. It wouldn't be my apocalypse, end of world knife though.

Nice ferg!! The very first knife I ever bought new was a 309.. I was 14yrs and bought it at a local archery shop.. Paid 18.00.. Carried that knife all thru school and beyond for many yrs.. It got retired and I still have it.. Again.. NICE!!!

That little Buck 309 was made in the early 1970's, by Camillus.
The first Buck knives [66-67] were made by Schrade.

Found a few nice things this weekend. Got the St Lawrence Co box ,dates 1886-1916 , Queen sleeveboard bone pen(not winterbottom bone) ,all metal Imperial and a pretty much mint Western F66 Black Beauty.

I got the little Simmons at the Red Barn/Vancouver Flea Market and the fixed at the Abbotsford swapmeet. According to Orvet’s old post, the Simmons is probably quite the senior citizen! I haven’t looked up the fixed yet.
