Who would be an Expert at making a Serrated Blade?
I recently saw some factory Muskrats that had the secondary blade serrated. I also saw a knife...I think it was a schrade that was called an improved Muskrat with a shorter secondary blade.
I have a couple Muskrats that I would like to have the secondary blade serrated on. Would anyone know who can do that?
One is a Case Barbed wire Muskrat.

The Schrade Improved Muskrat should have both blades the same size. Maybe one was worn down.
I don’t recall a Schrade muskrat with a serrated blade, though they did make a 89OT which was a stockman with a serrated sheepsfoot blade, (Schrade called it a scalloped blade).
Camillus made a serrated muskrat under the Western name. The model number is WW236. I have one & really like it.
Hope this helps,
Dale

I don't remember seeing any muskrats with serations, but it's not out of the realm of possibility. outside of the OT/UH lines they did have some knives with the "Wonda-Edge" like this little guy here

Kalen,
Was that an old Cut Co?
It wasn't in the catalogs from the last 50 years they were in business (unless it is in one of the few years I am missing).

Right you are Muskie!
In the E catalog, actually in one of the supplements, (pg 77 in Russell's 1971 reprint).
Probably around 1930.
That is what I love about collecting Schrades.........There is always something to learn.
Thanks,
Dale
