Nice looking knives and Zippo lighter everyone. ::tu::

This Camillus, single blade, WHAT-A-KNIFE, arrived yesterday.
It didn't need any cleaning at all. I took some pictures, here they are.

Today my trip to the post office produced this bounty.
A Camillus, pattern 22, pocket knife box.
A Camillus, pattern 48, pocket knife box.
A Camillus, single blade, WARNER pocket knife.
A Geo. Schrade, single blade, wire jack, hawkbill pruner pocket knife.
Gave the knives the once over, took some pictures and here they are.

Very sweet pick ups Skip. I have received a couple over the last two weeks. The first one an end of days with the .22 shield and an HD 21 Harley Davidson. If I'm not mistaken the HD has bone handles. More pics in the 72 variant thread. Thanks for looking. ::handshake::

VERY impressive trio of knives! ::tu::

If you get a chance, could you post a picture of JUST the Buzz Saw here:

There's a question about a Schrade(?) that's on eBay. It too has a Saw blade (pictured below).
Thank you. ::handshake::

Also recently picked up this Chicago Cutlery Folding Hunter. It was missing the shield so I replaced it with a 45 Colt.
The Case Pocket Hunter it quite a bit smaller.

What are the handles on your Chicago Cutlery knife ? All the ones I have seen have wood handles (walnut ?) but yours looks much darker.

Wow Ken there is a HUGE difference in size between the “normal” folding hunter and the Case Pocket Hunter! Never seen the Chicago Cutlery before - which company built it for them? OH

I'm very happy with what the Ponder Post Rider brought today.
As you can see the first one is called a Camillus Classic Cartridge .257 ROBERTS. Since it had my name on it I couldn't pass it up. This knife is 5 1/4 inches closed and 9 1/2 with the main blade opened. The CASE Peanut is my new member knife from the Case Collectors Club.
It's A Good Day ::ds::

Now my torment can cease - I have one, so I know why you wanted one. They're beautiful knives. My torment was that I have long considered offering it to you in trade for one of your long-pull stockmans! You do have some lookers. The problem was that I knew I would regret letting that knife go.
Again, congrats on receiving a wonderful gift!! May it provide you with many years of enjoyment!

Wow, miss a few days and... nice knives everyone! Here are 2 that came today. A Frost Japan scrimshawed trapper, I believe it’s the Daniel Boone pattern, could be mistaking. Looks unused. The second is a melon tester with a tang stamp that is new to me. Had advertising on it but I got rid of it, can’t stand it. Huba? Anyone knows about this, any info is appreciated.

These were my finds while out today. Found the scissors at Tuesday Morning; and the Battenfield Bruin at Tractor Supply (notice I did NOT say Schrade; I hate to use that name on the current crop of "Schrades"). Normally I don't touch these knives with a ten-foot pole; but wanted to put my money where my mouth is. What Chinese Camillus I've bought have been garbage; yet I really haven't had much with Battenfield/Taylor Schrades.

The scissors are by Kai; made in Japan. They are fabric scissors (found them in the craft section), and while I bought them for my sewing kit; they are the best scissors I have ever had; and am already using them cutting newspaper to pack some stuff up as I start spring cleaning. Only cost $10.

The 5OT, well. It's a sick joke. Puts the Old Timer name to shame. Lockback is so stiff it's impossible to release. The rocker pin is 1/16" proud. Blade isn't exactly what I call sharp. Anyone got a USA Bruin they need to offload?

Great looking knives everyone. ::tu::

Today my trip to the post office produced this knife. Another Camillus 72, 3 blade (ducks etched on the main blade), swelled center, black bone handles, "whittler" pocket knife. It is in near mint condition and required no cleaning at all. I took some pictures and here they are.

My understanding is that most of the Chicago Cutlery Folding Hunters were made by Schrade and one or 2 of the patterns were made by Camillus.
I have not heard of Chicago Cutlery making folding knives but these knives do not often get discussed.
