Show off your Winchester Knives

Winchester entered the knife market as a manufacturer in 1919 by acquiring two existing knife companies; Eagle Knife Co. of Connecticut & Napanoch Knife Co. of New York. Winchester stepped away from the market in 1942 to focus on war related manufactured products, but re-entered in the late 1980s by licensing its name to Blue Grass Cutlery. Blue Grass had high quality knives made by Queen Cutlery that featured the Winchester brand name for a handful of years until the license arrangement ran its course. Winchester eventually started licensing to other companies & now you will find the brand name used by several knife manufacturers by way of license agreements.

Picked this up a while back… The seller Claimed to have owned it since the late 70s or early 80s… Cannot find another one like it or any information about it… the bolster/hilt says “Liberty and Union”..tight as a snare drum, never sharpened..Does anyone know anything about this or seen one like it? Thank you for your replies…

It has a distinctly European flair to it and the tang stamp bothers me. It's the big space between "TRADE" and "MARK" and then there's the bottom line. "MADE" and then there's a big space between that and "INUSA". No space between "IN" and "USA". It just makes me suspicious. ::shrug::

Yes, I can't imagine Winchesters made in the USA would have strange spacing like that. Not something I have seen before.

Nice knife ::tu:: ... That knife and particularly handles are very reminiscent of Eagle Knife Co which Winchester acquired for knife making ... Eagle was known for banging out high production knives...

That's a nice commemorative set stanwade, I have never seen that one before. Winchester M21 that is an outstanding hunter you picked up. Here are couple of my recent finds. A 2995 jack knife and a 3929 congress whittler. The jack had rust along top of both blades and I have cleaned it as much as I am comfortable doing.
