Well, after staying up past my bed time.... I threw in a last minute bid and got this one....
(Yay... I got me another one now!!!)
The blades have a couple of BAD nick where somebody tried to pry out a nail or something. I glad they didn't try more than 3 TIMES!
(what is wrong with some people.... don't they have HAMMERS?)
There is not just a whole lot of wear on this knife.....

Seller pics....

There is a little "snot-like" substance on the pen blade but otherwise... not to bad!

Eek! I have a small pry bar I carry with me--well, actually two. One is a small alligator-type wrench (PocketWrench II) the other is a small, titanium nail puller/pry bar sold through CountyComm. I've whacked on the latter with a hammer to get nails out before. I've worked with carpenters that did that kind of stuff. I made sure when that work was being done, I only carried my bargain bin specials. AKA--that lunchbox full of el-cheapos I wonder "What the heck am I gonna do with these things?"

It looks like the original owner used it for a pry bar, messed up the blade and then put it away.
Yep, the scales and the over all look of the blades show hardly ANY use.
Without the blade dings (serrations....LOL), I would't have been able to afford this one.

Here are catalog cuts of the knives I won on ebay this evening.

The keen kutter I bought is slightly different from the catalog, mine has no shield and waterfall cell handles with some advertising for a lumber company. The other is a peachseed bone SW 881. They are both the same pattern made by schrade walden and both seem to be in pretty nice used condition with full (or near full) blades. It has been a minute since I bought a good old squared schrade 4'' stock with pinned bolsters and the other desirable old traits.

I just had my best offer accepted for this SCHRADE, WALDEN, 863 pattern, "KON KAV" blade etch, "whittler" pocket knife. It looks like it's in pretty decent condition. When I receive it, I'll give it the once over, take some pictures and post them in the appropriate location(s).

I just obtained these two Camillus pocket knife boxes for best offer.
Nothing out of the ordinary regarding wear and tear. Both are in pretty
decent condition.

Hi Trace, I have that one also. This one will fit in nicely with the others.

Thank you, Floyd! As far as I know, this knife model is for finishing deers. It is manufactured by many German companies.

I purchased this knife a few minutes ago.
A Camillus 72, 3 blade (ducks etched on main blade), swelled center, black bone handles, "whittler" pocket knife.
I now have two thirds of the Camillus 72, "black bone handles" trio.
It appears to be in terrific shape and won't need any cleaning at all.
When I receive it, pictures will be taken and posted in the appropriate location(s).

I have heard them referred to as Jager Messer. And also as Knicker Messer (meant to be carried in the top of ones hunting socks).

I saw that very knife cruising the 'bay yesterday ...
passed it up because of the missing shield.

I've gotten excessively picky about purchasing off ebay.
In fact, I only bought three (3) knives from there in all of 2019!

I just bought another Imperial "deer head" pocket knife for the zoo. It will definitely require some cleaning. When it arrives, it will receive a cleaning, pictures will be taken and posted in the appropriate location(s).
