Richard, thank you for posting pictures of your "k55" marked knife. I doubt that my Premier Junior Stockman was made by the same manufacturer.
I need to see other examples of "Premier Lifetime/Germany" knives to see what they have for pattern markings.

The mail today produced another Geo. Schrade, single blade, wire jack, hawkbill pruner. No blade etch, no unfamiliar tang stamp. I gave it the once over, took some pictures and here it is.

Nice find Skip! Here is a monstrous oddity that came in the mail today... It’s an old leather knife and punch combo made by Fisher Scientific Co. in Germany. It has a folding blade that actually works by pushing the knife forward... Never seen one like this, so in the collection it goes.

Thank you "D." That is indeed an odd tool that you've acquired. Definitely worth researching it and good luck with that.Ultrastooge wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2020 3:40 am Nice find Skip! Ultrastooge that is indeed unusual. Certainly purpose designed. Hopefully some one will identify it.
Mark, Weidmannsheil is a brand I usually look away from when I see one for sale. They are such well made and beautiful knives that I know with one purchase it would be a long and dark path. Really beautiful knives you have there. I'm partial to German knives. You did well.

Doglegg, I am glad I held off on purchasing any Weidmannsheil knives. Excel Cutlery had a very concise history of the company and told how to tell which ones are authentic and which ones are not. It was very helpful information. Many that I have looked at over the years were not from the Weidmannsheil plant which closed in 1991, these two are authentic.doglegg wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2020 9:28 pm Ultrastooge that is indeed unusual. Just one of these caught my eye but when I saw they had 2 different ones, I had to have them both. I like these locking knives a lot.

Got these in the mail today. I simply love the sodbuster style of knives. Nothing complicated about them and they feel good in my hand. The Pocket Pal knife is just a $3.00 knife, but for some reason this one reminded me of the 50's era that I grew up in.

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
This interesting knife came from Thailand. The handle is composed of alligator and buffalo horn. Unknown wood beneath the gator.
The steel in the blade is unknown. Comes with a golden thumb stud. Lots of file work on the blade, spine and liners. The liners appear to be steel and are highly polished. I've always liked the scimitar pattern and find this to be an elegant interpretation.

One of my buddies gave me this one for my birthday a few years ago.
