Thank you and I know that you'll like the Kutmaster stockman.
VERY nice knives everyone.
This latest pocket knife acquisition, a Kershaw 1678, will join my Benchmade and my SOG as a full time EDC.

I knew about the Rat D2 railsplitter and have one but hadn't seen that one before. So the hunt begins...kootenay joe wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2020 2:52 am I bought this 4 1/4" "Ontario RAT" stockman when it was first released, 2007 ? This along with the "RAT 3" fixed blade were the first 2 knives made for Randall Adventure Training. I sold my RAT 3 and now regret it. Both have D2 steel and the blade grind on the stockman is rather thick so i thinned the edge 'shoulders' to give a more acute edge angle. Just came across it a few days ago and decided it is now time to carry it. It is a beefy knife.

I misplaced my EDC. It's here somewhere, I just don't know where.
So, I've been carrying this 1920's or 30's Robeson jack, pattern number 622013.
3 1/2" long.
Got 'em. Might as well use one or two.
Snaps like a gator opening, closing and at the half stops.

Thanks man. I’m rather fond of it myself but I’m seeing a lot of other knives that I believe qualify.

I agree, Charlie. I think that’s what knives are for. I’d love to carry one like that. I really like it.RobesonsRme.com wrote: ↑Mon Jan 27, 2020 2:16 am I misplaced my EDC. It's here somewhere, I just don't know where.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
This 4 1/4" Stockman was the very first RAT. Mine is #422 of the 500 made. That was 13 years ago and i have never seen one on ebay. It is not much as a collectible because the RAT knives only had a few patterns then stopped. Not in production long enough to get much interest or a 'following'. But this stockman is a big, strong, capable work knife. A real knife, not one aimed at collectors who will never use it. All this to say: how come they don't show up for sale on secondary market ?Rotten wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2020 7:03 pmI knew about the Rat D2 railsplitter and have one but hadn't seen that one before.
