Marbles Woodcraft leather Boy Scout. 8 1/2 inches overall, 4 inch blade. Pre War Official Boy Scout woodcraft pattern. The blade etch can be barely seen in the right light but it is faint. Blade is pretty close to 100% except for a nick in the edge right near the tip. The lightly stained mirror finish is really nice. I think that it has received an initial light honing but this could go either way. The Marbles experts can interpret the strong tang stamp. The spine of the blade ahead of the guard has the transverse cuts for thumb purchase. The brass half guard is dirty but no nicks. The aluminum pommel has slight handling scratches but no dings. The handle is secured with the brass split nut rather than a pinned type. All fittings are tight. The leather stacked handle is not swollen or shrunken, is in nice condition. The inexpensively made sheath is still supple and has a good strong Boy Scout embossed logo, but there are a few stitches out. The MARBLES stamped nickel silver snap is still fine. To me, this old Marbles has the warm fuzzies which the newer versions do not. Maybe just me. $200 shipped priority to U.S. addresses. Any reasonable method of payment is fine.
