Nothing special about this project; it was just a straightforward blade replacement in an Old Timer peanut. I had purchased a handful of blades from Discountcutlery.net, and dug through until I found two blades that fit (I don't think that they were exactly the same blades, but they fit and looked good. That is all that I was aiming for here).
I purposefully found a very beat-up knife to restore, because I am giving it to a friend who just retired from our company a couple of weeks ago. He had mentioned once that he liked "Old Timer" brand knives.
I am sending him the Before and After pictures, along with a reminder that God is not finished with him yet!
Jeremiah 18:1-4. The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord: “Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will let you hear my words.” So I went down to the potter's house, and there he was working at his wheel. And the vessel he was making of clay was spoiled in the potter's hand, and he reworked it into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to do.

That turned out real nice. And that's also a very nice thing your'e doing for your friend. I'm sure that knife will serve him very well for years to come. Nicely done Reverand.

Looks like it will be a great gift!
I am ordering 96OT and 225OT saw blades from the same place you did, and a load of Tough Tool parts (I have a rare Craftsman multitool Schrade made for Sears that is in horrible shape). Since those are so rare to find as complete, I plan to mod them using those parts from existing Schrade Trapper and Folding Hunter patterns, Old Timer or not. Just need to find one with a damaged skinner blade. Else, I will just end up using them as-is. I have absolutely no Schrade Trapper or Folding Hunters. Most of mine are 34OTs, or 8OTs/881/based on that pattern, made for someone else.

Very nice job Reverand!
I really LOVE the meaning you have attached to the gift for your co-worker.
I am a walking, talking example of someone who God is not finished with. I should have died in a motor cycle wreck about 5 years ago. Docs told me so!
God has shown me several times since then that He has had certain people I know personally, who needed His help and He used me to show them His way. I am God's servant and I am glad He saw fit to keep me around to use me for His purpose.
