Blade colour is pretty accurate. Pearl colours look brighter under the super-bright scanner than in person but I think I can fix that quite easily. It will be cleaned and polished 'cause that's how I like 'em.

Yup, looks like that Rough Rider has just enough blades to get defingered with. Being a careless individual, I believe I shall stick to something less deadly. Like these latest additions... A pretty pen from Challenge Cutlery and a pocket RX spatula by Russell USA. Now, if anyone knows, is Russell USA the same AG Russell Green River Brand? Thanks in advance guys!

Look what the Ponder Country Post Rider brought to me today.
From SMKW this is their description.
"Old Forge Barlow 4" with Grooved Natural Bone Handles and Damascus Steel Wharncliffe Plain Edge Blade Model OF020.
Just for research sake, I wish they would tell you how many folds are in the steel. I suspect that on this one it's not more than 280 to 320 folds, just a guess.

The trip to the post office produced this candidate for the zoo. Another Imperial "Longhorn Steer" pocket knife. I gave the blades the once over, they needed it. Here are the pictures that I took.

In my opinion Skip, old Imperials, Hammers, etc., are some of the most underrated folders. Very nice score!

As I move away from Chinese knives, I think Imperial is just about perfect. My Kamp King probably sees as much use as my SAKs.

Remington Elite Drop Point Hunter. Honestly, this may be one of my favorites, that will see a lot of use as an EDC. I thought it would be a big and clunky knife when I got it, suitable only for outdoors work. It's slim, its lightweight, and the 440C blade will hold an edge quite well, while still being able to be easily resharpened without a big, pricey sharpening system. The blade is also pretty thick--about 1/8". Hard to believe, quality-wise, this is a $30 knife. Action is incredibly smooth, and it locks up like a bank vault. I have two longetivity concerns--the liner is just peened to the aluminum handle. Secondly, I suspect the spacers in this knife are held together with hidden screws underneath the grip tape, which, are of course unaccessible if they loosen up. But, I suspect the grip tape holds them in place, if there are any screws.

4 1/2 closed, 440C steel, aluminum handles with 3M "grip tape" inserts.

My new to me Folding Hunter. Supposed to be a 1 dot but I'll be danged if I can see the dot. Regardless, it a nice old knife and after a little cleaning and sharpening it went straight into my pocket!

Nice Hunter Skip! ::tu::

Got this one today.
Been thinking this could be a knife type for me to concentrate on in my collecting ambitions (next to Case of course).
They show up kinda often on the bay with different amounts of blades, sometimes with scissors or clippers & at prices that don't hurt my budget that much. I'll be watching for these types of knives over the next few weeks to see what I can come up with. ::tu::

Is there a name for this type of knife? Or a thread here for them? ::shrug::

Thanks, ::handshake::
Tom

Thank you Tom. ::tu:: I believe that some people refer to your knife pattern or style as a "lobster."

Postal carrier braved the light snow that was starting to fall to deliver this one. My pictures when the sun comes back out. Very positive half stops and loud, sharp snap. I'm pretty impressed for what it is.

Today I received this dark red rogers bone camillus 69 slender 4'' stockman. Cost 20 bucks. I think it was worth buying.

My favorite coined liners are the ones like this that camillus did. A noticeable classy touch without having too much going on. Perfect.

Today, my daily trip to the post office produced this knife. It's a Camillus, split spring, whittler pocket knife. I gave it a very mild once over, took some pictures and here it is. ALL the pictures are posted in the Camillus forum. Here: viewtopic.php?f=63&t=65329&p=787773#p787773
