Just gives hope to the time of our Lord's return being sooner rather than later!

Re: Fort Worth Church Shooting
This thread has drifted from the shooting to a general discussion so I’ll contribute to the drift.
It’s very sad that so many people want to hurt Christians. To me it is equally sad that Christians can’t all get on the same page and be unified.
Catholics, Protestant, Eastern Orthodox, etc. there must be dozens of different slight variations. -At the core aren’t we all Jewish? We all believe in the same God and the same basic doctrine yet allow minor things to decide us. When we should be united.

Luke 12:51 New King James Version (NKJV)
51 Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division.
~ Jesus
There must be division to separate those who are true followers of Jesus Christ, those who are obedient to His word, from those either refuse to accept Him, or, perhaps even worse, only give Him lip service.

Re: Fort Worth Church Shooting
Jews, Christians *and* Muslims all worship the same God. Muslims consider Jesus a prophet, but not the son of God. Jews do not consider Jesus the Messiah, and they are still waiting for the Messiah. But at the core of each of these religions, Yahweh = Jehovah = Allah. They are the same God. All of them include the Torah (the Old Testament) in their doctrine. Of course, interpretation of the books varies greatly, but that also varies within the many sects of Christianity.

I am a Christian and I can assure you that the God I worship is NOT allah. Not even close.

I would word it differently: The God that Christians worship is the not the God *described by Mohammad*.

Re: Fort Worth Church Shooting
This is a previous post by our administrator. Respectfully can we get back on the subject here. We are here to pray for the loss of 2 people and for a body of believers in a Fort Worth Church. I don't think we should be debating theology or what to call the God you worship. I'm sure there is a proper forum for that or one can be created by our leaders. I'm not trying to admonish anyone, I'm just trying to keep this prayer request focussed on the event itself and the families that have suffered loss.A Note on This Forum
