Honest eBay Seller!

Well here's an honest eBay seller who apparently bought what he thought was a legitimate green bone 6488. The sad part is, what will the new owner do with this knife? I'm considering buying it, just to get it off the market and take to the club meeting for display as a conterfeit. Ebay item #280249115503

Well, it seems to me that he is more true to his wallet than anything else. He's rather have someone else buy it for $200 and then, it's back on the market again, a year later with possibly more mods. If he were "truly honest" he'd show the knife hit with a sledge hammer and take his losses like a man. Instead of trying to make money off an unwise decision. If he's willing to make money, he needs to be able to cut his loses - just as he accepts his gains!

If he were truly honest he would smash that thing to bits. - IMO. He's trying to rescue a few bucks - not trying to be honest!

I seriously doubt it will bring much money, but you never know. Who ever buys it, will more than likely have thoughts of screwing someone. I just received a message from the seller telling me how he got took and should have known better. He started the bidding at 1 cent and I didn't think it would bring more than $10-15. At this point, I'm not interested in it, even for taking to the knife club. I agree with Hukk, the best thing to do would be to smash it with a hammer. I think we'll see this one again on fleabay.

Too bad there can't be some kind of certification law on E-Bay.

Hey guys I went through this a while back with some Case Classics. The seller I bought them from made things right, I still have them and have sent all 7 of them to kaleb. I asked him to make sure everyone who looks at them can tell that they have been altered. They all have Mastodon handles, so after muskrat man get done with the embellishment I think I'll have some Dam good knives to show off.

I see it is selling for $86 with 10 hours left. So if you say it is a fake up front does it become like a custom or repaired knife? I'm not kidding here, nor being obtuse. I don't understand the difference between a customized (file work, handle replacement, etc.) and a fake. The lines seem blurred. I do understand that if you weld on a blade and leave the original tang it is a total fake and is meant to defraud.

I like the idea that ebay should have an experienced hand look at the knives and refuse to list them if they are fakes and not listed as such, but I don't think that is likely. When I pointed out a fake canoe to a shop owner in Osage Beach Mo., he told me some sucker would come along.

Sold for $113.00! I didn't think it would bring $20.00, but I believe we"ll be seeing that knife again.

Yeah, I bet we will. I still say that's not the mark of an honest seller - it's the mark of a guy who got burned trying to recover a few bucks - and that's all it is.

Its really a shame he allowed the knife to go that high, he should have put a low buyout on it....
