Re: roundtable booty - post pics here
I got not one but two knives & a knife opener in the roundtable.
It is scary; I think knife-nut was reading my mind! He hit not one, but two on my favorite areas of collection, with one knife, a brand I collect & a pattern I collect!
I will post some pics tomorrow and show you what I mean, but I won’t spoil the surprise & tell you what he sent me until I get the pics on here.
Hang in there Roger (yerout), I am mailing your knife tomorrow. I had to put the finishing touches on it.

Those are all very nice knives everyone
. The members here are very generous. I received this small Schrade Walden jack knife from Rigwelder. It is a really little beauty. The bone scales are fantastic. I am thrilled with it
Thank-you very much.

WOW!!!!!!!!
All are very nice knives and great pics as well. I was thinking about a future round table. Any chance that it could be kicked up a knotch?? NOt this is bad, please don't get me wrong. I just wondered if it could be set up with a slightly higher minimum and be limited to vintage folders of lets say older than 1970?? Of course you know me, I would love something from the 1930s I know I always have some trading material on hand and would love to see what others have as well. Just a thought for the future. GREAT friendship people, I am impressed.
Smiling Knife, You can send the Schrade back over the pond to me any time

Re: roundtable booty - post pics here
David, you read my mind
. I have been thinking of a "vintage round table" the past few days, becuase much the same as you I love old stuff, and it would give people a chance who down own/collect oldies to hold an old one in thier hand and see just how good that old quality was. Maybe a minimum of $50, or $75 more? Perhaps we should do a poll to see what folks think

I love the Idea but what are you calling vintage? Pre 1970? if so I am in. I do not own any knives dated past about 1960.well I own one and it was my grandfathers so I will be keeping that one you understand

Count me in for a vintage roundtable with a $75 limit! Seems vintage should be pre-1960s when knives weren't made with the collector in mind

Re: roundtable booty - post pics here
Well, here are the pics I promised. I finally got a light box for taking knife pics. I think it is better than my old scratched scanner!
Knife Nut got a perfect hit for me by sending me a knife that is my favorite brand (Schrade) and an old one to boot! It is a TL-29, which is my favorite pattern to collect.
Double play on that one!
This TL-29 has the fullest blade of any of the now 4 Schrade Cut Co TL-29s in my collection. I don’t think this knife has ever been sharpened.
I think Knife Nut is an over achiever as he also sent an awesome Remington lobster (R7094) and a Case knife opener! He said he had replaced the pearl on the back side, buy I would never have known. He did an outstanding job!
It was like Christmas at my house when the mailman arrived!
Thanks Mark, you made my whole month!

Knife Nut seems to have a very nice collection of those Knife openers!!!!!!...anyone that has not seen it should see the posting on here by Peterforce on the REAI knife openers. You will see some of Knife Nut's collection there.
Maybe someone can help Knife Nut find that Cattaraugus opener to complete his collection.

Muskrat Man or Yerout,
I noticed that Case Muskrat has a serrated blade, is that from the factory or was that done after market?
Never seen that before.

I asked MM the samething he wrote "that is factory, they made a limited run with a serrated blade they made a limited run in red bone and a run in green bone as well" Interesting grind.Pen & Toothpick wrote:Muskrat Man or Yerout,
