geocash, Dale turned that Barlow into a treasure: fine Sambar covers, file work on the springs. I do believe that is a Barlow for the ages.

Nothing fancy today. A pair of Camillus, WHAT-A-KNIFE, knives. Very plain, very simple and very sharp.

Very nice pattern! Are these Barlow sized? I've always thought so. I've really, really wanted one of the ones with the screwdriver/cap lifter. It would likely be a "one" knife that would do most of what I need, at just the right size.

Thank you Garry. ::handshake:: They look "cheap" but they are sturdy, reliable and best of all, made in the U.S.A. ::tu::

Thank you Cody. ::handshake:: They are just a hair over 3 inches closed and 5 3/8 inches with main blade open. Great snap and 1/2 stop on blades and tool. ::tu::

I've been after the same thing for a while - couldn't get a WHAT-A-KNIFE so decided to settle for one of those CamCo advertising knives - same setup and easier to get hold of.

i'm hoping it will get here soon...

I have the 2-blade cap lifter and single-blade variants of the Camillus What-A-Knife. Did not even know that they had one with a pen blade, I guess I'm going to have to start looking again. ::paranoid::

Thank you, gents. ::handshake:: The pic turned out pretty good and I got lucky because the skies opened up seconds later.

For Old Friends Friday I pocketed my first Case 75 (named "Mac" after the SFO etch on the master blade) and my first Voos barehead jack.

Treefarmer it's real Winterbottom bone. No tang stamp just a blade etch. I'm assuming it's a 61-71 time frame.
