What is a Picklock Switchblade? Does that refer to the blade being a narrow flat grind shape?
Thanks,

Re: Pick Lock Switchblade
Pick lock means one has to lift the blade locking tab up manually to close the knife. This system is not always on switchblades, it has been around for many years and used on switches as well as other larger folding knives. More modern Italian style switchblade knives have rocking bolsters to lift the locking tab up and although the tab on these can be lifted manually they are not considered pick locks. The term has nothing to do with blade style or shape.

Re: Pick Lock Switchblade
Many thanks, I completely understand now. I have two switchblade knives that have rocking bolsters. I figured that picklock was actually for what the name implies. That the blade was narrow enough to "pick a lock". Silly me.
