I FOUND A KNIFE WHILE GOING THROUGH SOME OLD BOXES OF MY GRANDDAD'S AND CAN'T FIND OUT WHAT IT IS OR WHAT IT MAY BE WORTH, ABOUT READY TO GO CRAZY! ( IT JUST SHOULDN'T BE THIS HARD) COULD SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME END MY MISERY?

IT'S 3 BLADE STOCKMAN 3 1/4" LONG, HANDLE APPEARS TO BE WOOD WITH A PLAIN SHIELD ON IT, THE BLADE STAMP READS: SOLINGEN / THE BACK SIDE IS STAMPED 9811.

Just wanted to say and that even though the monetary value of the knife probably is not very high, the knife can be of great value to you as a memory of your granddad, given that it was a knife of importance to him.

And this search probably has given you new insight in the world of knives and fascination for knives and that really is of great value!
