NEW TO THIS "SPORT" I HAVE A QUESTION?

I FOUND A KNIFE WHILE GOING THROUGH SOME OLD BOXES OF MY GRANDDAD'S AND CAN'T FIND OUT WHAT IT IS OR WHAT IT MAY BE WORTH, ABOUT READY TO GO CRAZY! ( IT JUST SHOULDN'T BE THIS HARD) COULD SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME END MY MISERY?

IT'S 3 BLADE STOCKMAN 3 1/4" LONG, HANDLE APPEARS TO BE WOOD WITH A PLAIN SHIELD ON IT, THE BLADE STAMP READS: SOLINGEN / THE BACK SIDE IS STAMPED 9811.

welcome coyote. b. svoboda cutlery, solingin, ger. is imported by the liberty organization (wholesaler) of california, 1950- present. they also imported knives from japan. as to value, show us a pic. probably not high value.

Svoboda Cutlery in unknown to me, I'm afraid.

Just wanted to say ::welcome:: and that even though the monetary value of the knife probably is not very high, the knife can be of great value to you as a memory of your granddad, given that it was a knife of importance to him.

And this search probably has given you new insight in the world of knives and fascination for knives and that really is of great value! :D ::nod::
