There is a reason why yours are minty fresh and they should probably stay that way. I do plan on using it as with all of my edged tools, there isn't a single unused blade in my house. If I can save a few bucks buying used thats the way I want to go (having a bit of man cash in my pocket is fairly rare).
I'm also looking for a Case hunter Trapper, if anyone has one of those laying around.
