Very cool!

You could fill the bag with brand new knives to show her how sturdy it is.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
I do landscaping and handyman work and some shipping and receiving, so I cut open a lot of boxes and then cut them up. I usually carry a Case trapper, a Leatherman PST (USA made only!) and for the dirty work a Gonzo brand Chinese copy of a Lion's Steel knife. I also will carry a real Lion's Steel folding knife, I just don't have that knife on today. I don't mind abusing the Chinese copy, I think it was $20. I think my real Lion's Steel folding knife was $200! I couldn't take the picture without "Little-Man" the chihuahua getting in the way.

Great combo! Those, personally, are two of my favorite patterns. I think the Klein/Kutmaster is the only Easy Open pattern being produced at the present, at least at a halfway decent price. I think the dumbest thing Klein did was drop the non-locking version. Locks are a good thing, but not when they have as much play as they typically do. I can close all of mine close to halfway between open and half-open and the lock allows it.New_Windsor_NY wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2019 3:58 pm Today it's these two. Not for any particular reason.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Thanks Tom. I have this & another Tuxedo that are both 3" L, one that is 2 7/8" L & a fourth that is 3 1/4" L. I believe they're typical. And that "thing" is my talisman, or the closest thing I've got to a talisman. I found it in a creek bank 50 or 60 years ago & thought it was neat. About 10 years ago I learned it's actually a part of a belt that was in use in the South around the Civil War & may have been cast in Great Britain. Someone posted a picture of one on here within the last year that was almost identical to mine & they were in Australia if I recall correctly.

Good to be prepared but that would make it hard for me to decide. I’d have to get labels for my pockets.

And those are built to last. I have a Camillus, but the bone on the pile side is broke, and the main blade has been heavily reprofiled to resemble a clip. But, the snap even in as rough condition as the knife is, particularly on the pen blade, can take a finger off!

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
The PST is Leatherman's first and finest. Of those I have, the Wave and Surge are too heavy. ST300 same, but is a lot more comfortable to use (outside opening blades are painful to use on the Wave and Surge. Skeletool and Juice too light duty (and lacking in tools for their weight, which both are equal to the PST). The Rebar is pretty nice, but lacks the PST's very small screwdriver. It's probably my favorite contemporary model. LM got close with the Kick, Fuse, and Blast, but those are no longer in produciton either. PST was brought back in 2018 for a 35th anniversary limited edition, but was $100.GSPTOPDOG wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2019 2:26 am I do landscaping and handyman work and some shipping and receiving, so I cut open a lot of boxes and then cut them up. Another board I'm on is doing a challenge involving this tool for the entire month of December. Typically, those I've done before involved tools that are heavier (Schrade Tough Tool, ST300, Surge) and difficult to tote in a pocket. The PST I've been carrying for about the past two months. Not bulky, or heavy, and has just what I need to get out of a bind.
