Loss of Vic Hangas with Ruana Knife Works
Just saw on Facebook that Vic Hangas had passed away on Nov.30 . Great Knife Maker that made Ruana Knives since he started as an apprentice for Rudy in 1964 and worked through 2017 according to the notice on Facebook . Had a chance to meet him , Mark & Mike on a visit to Glassier National Park. Took a road trip from there to Bonner, Montana and went to there shop . They made time for me and my wife( which we have never forgot) showed us how they made Ruana knives from stat to finish and the equipment that Rudy had built from scratch . He will be missed Prayers for the family

Thanks for the information; it was news to me. I also have had the good fortune to visit the shop. Great people, great knives.

Sad news. Vic married Rudy's daughter if I am not mistaken.
