Hello all,
Hoping someone here can help me out. I have a knife set that is in a wooden case with 2 poker chips. It has 5 case knives, each knife has a card etched in the blade. There is an ace, king, queen, jack and a 10. They are all spades. Can anyone tell me more about this set as my internet searches are finding nothing.

welcome darren. can you give a little more description? pics would help. when were they made. what pattern(s)?

ok found a reference in parker's latest
five 048 single blades with colored card etch in wood box. no year given.

There were 500 sets made in 1987. All were 1048 patterns, one in stag and the other four were bone handled. I valued them at 650.00 'cause you don't see them that often and most sets I've seen sell over the last few years brought around 600.00.

That be 1985 Knife Kid . NKCA member cost was $295 for the set. $395 retail to the general public at the time.

You'er welcome Knife. Ain't one person who could keep up with everything about knives or seen it all, that's why there is an "All About Pocket Knives" website.
I'm not trying to be a capitalist here, but you would be surprised at what you can find in old paper. I wanted to post the link because it told the tale and was already there.
