I would like to sell 59 Imperial USA knives. Most are unused. Some are solid handle from before 1937 when Imperial switched to 'shell' handled knives. Most of the post 1937 knives have 'shell' handles, some quite colorful, and some have solid handles like the "Mark Twain Barlow".
As collectors we tend to 'look down' on Imperial knives because they were inexpensive, but they are well made and function & cut just as well as the more expensive Schrade or Ulster knives. Imperial actually made some of the Schrade & Ulster branded knives.
I can take some pictures of individual knives upon request.
All knives here work as they should, and most being unused, have full blades and handles are all intact. There are no 'bad' knives here. Actually quite the opposite, these are all good knives.
Price: i don't know but if you like vintage Imperial knives we can work out what will be a good deal for the buyer. Note that these are heavy and i am shipping from Canada so it will cost about $40-$45 CAN. to ship.
If interested please send me a PM or email: [email protected]
thanks, kj

Wow. I recognize about 80% of those and these are better examples than I have seen. Several there I’ve not seen before. That is an amazing collection.
An Imperial collector will snap this up. If someone doesn’t, it may tempt me beyond my ability to resist.

Re: For Sale: Imperial Knife Collection
Thanks for your posts. Yes it did take a significant part of my lifetime to accumulate these. My Imperial collection was about 200 or so knives. These are the best ones. I should have taken a few individual knife pictures to better show them. I will be away for about 3 days and if not sold i will take some individual pictures.
I collected Imperial knives because they are an important part of USA pocket knife history. When i was a young lad in the 1950's every hardware or sports store had a display card of Imperial knives next to the cash register. These were the knives that bought because they were affordable to a kid with a paper route. I am sure that those here of my age can recall similar experiences. Imperial, the 'gateway' knife.

Imperial was a gateway knife for me too. My Latin teacher in high school gave me an Imperial pen knife for my two years as Latin club president. I still have that knife and I carried it for 25 years. Surprisingly, I didn’t sharpen the crap out of it, it still has 90% of the blade edge. It is a good knife that served me well.
