Unusual (?) Robeson
Hello all. Been a member here for awhile. But never posted anything or asked/answered any questions, but this knife has me, and others I've shown it to, totally baffled. I've looked in every book I have and can find very similar examples, but nothing EXACTLY like it. My knife book library isn't nearly as extensive as some so I'm reaching out in hopes that someone has some info. Thanks in advance, James.

Hi James,
I would like to say "Welcome to the AAPK" but you've been here much longer than I have.
Anyways, I hope you get the answer/answers your looking for. I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya.
That is a great looking knife you have, nice looking handles on it and Welcome to the AAPK anyways.

That's a nice Robeson. You should put it in the Robeson thread and Charlie is your guy on all things Robeson. He will see it on the Robeson thread and help you out. Very nice knife!

Thank you gentlemen. I sent Charlie a personal message in regards to this knife, but I'm not sure if he checks those or just peruses the forums. I'll try posting it in the Robeson thread. Thanks again and best regards.

Re: Unusual (?) Robeson
Anyone familiar with Robeson's 1900 to 1945 output knows they were extremely innovative and produced patterns that no one else made.
This one might fit in that category.
It's a camping knife.
The shield on it is plain, but I have seen similar knives with their shields marked, "CAMPERS" or "OUTING".
I have owned a couple of knives similar to, but not exactly the same.
The bone handled one has a clip master and a pattern number of 622608.
Don't know if the OP knife has a pattern number, but it would not be the same.
I also have one in smooth black composition, but cannot find a photo and it's not readily accessible.
I suppose it's possible the spear blade is not original to the knife, but I think that unlikely.
