What is Your Latest Old Schrade?

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

We don't see too many fixed blades in this thread, but this SW from the mid 1950s is a peach! Stratawood #148.

I have a soft spot for the fixed blades Jeff!) and of course the old bony folders (Paul!), but those 175 box cutters (Scott!) are sweet too!

3 dandies in a row!

That fixed blade, sweet!

The 175 Scott is a very solid pattern, great for hard use.

Paul, love the bone on that 834, and a partial etch too!

This one came in yesterday and I decided to put some nice edges on it so it could be carried. Dandy little jack knife.

Paul, what is the closed length of your new B&M? I think I have almost the same knife, but mine has a nick instead of the long pull spear.
Mine is 3.39" closed, and from the catalog cuts seems to be a C2154K.

This version of a pipe smoker's knife is a little different than the ones I could find in both the Catalog E and Supplements, or in the Schrade Walden list by Dale (in that it has a third scraper blade and MAY be a little longer?). It is hopefully in the mail. It is a SFO for Abercrombie and Fitch in NYC, and is etched to that effect. Tang stamp looks like it will be missing the U.S.A., so early 1950s.

Nice Cal, I could have used that back when I smoked pipes, looks to be in good condition.

Picked up a Cut Co regular jack to go with the easy open I already have, makes a good pair.

Thanks guys, appreciate it. One thing different between the 2 is the easy open has an extra pin, maybe to strengthen the easy open notch?

John they are identical patterns. Nice one you have there. Do both blades have half stops?
