You get to see the ugly side of it today as I decided to tote it again for Old Friends Friday, along with my 10-dot 6143...

I chased this one for two years and had to trade a real grail to get it. When I got it I found it was the prototype for all of Jerry's Rounders.

Thanks, gents. ::handshake:: I like to think that the "customizations" have become pocket-worn and ingrained into the knife's history. It has seen its share of work and still snaps hard, holds a keen edge, and gets the job done.

That is a real beauty, Joe!

Today the only things I plan on trapping are some sammies with this Schatt & Morgan gunstock trapper.

Thank you TPK. Sorry, you can't have it but I'll give you a free story about it. I got it off ebay. The seller's description was not accurate but the cheap price was. I don't know what snap the seller was talking about. The master blade had to be pushed back into the well & the small blade wasn't much better. I worked Liquid Wrench in the pivots then Quick Release & now they both have plenty of snap, both ways. It's hard for me to believe the difference. And the blades are full but they looked badly corroded when I got it. That all came off with polishing paper & left just a few tiny dimples. Then over a year later I realized the seller was also wrong about the handles. (I'm a little slow.) The handles are Delrin, not bone like the seller claimed. But by then I figured it works fine, it was cheap & the handles look good enough to fool me that long & so I'm really very fond of it, too.
