Who’s Disassembled a Western 062 Knife?

Post by Jeffinn »

Is there anything I need to be aware of when disassembling this knife? Are there bushing in the pivot pin for the blade? Anything out of the ordinary?
Thanks.
Jeff

I have restored/customized 3 or 4 of them and have 3 of them waiting for their turn on the bench. I don't recall any bushing for the pivot. I do believe there are at least 2 variations of the Western folding hunter. I'm not sure if are both the same model number.
I haven't done one in a few years but I don't remember any issues unique to that model. ::shrug::
I actually enjoy working on them.

Thanks Dale.
I purchased one awhile ago that Ill probably keep for myself. I’ll hopefully get to it this week, I just gotta check if I have some bone slabs large enough to use for it.
