What is this magic potion that turns wannabees into sharp sharpeners, "Yuengling's" ?
Up here most people smoke mari-u-wanna and don't know how to sharpen. We need Yuengling's in Canada so as to have sharp knives.

They claim to be America's oldest brewery, in operation since 1829. It is very good beer.kootenay joe wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2019 1:43 am What is this magic potion that turns wannabees into sharp sharpeners, "Yuengling's" ?

Thanks Ken. Seems like a strange name for a brewery and i am surprised i have never heard of it. Unfortunately i am not able to safely try this technique enhancing brew. I finished off my life supply of alcohol about 20 years ago.

Great pictures John. Some of that looks like it's been there since 1829!
Unfortunately they don't distribute it to the Lone Star State, but you can get it in a few pubs here. Not sure where or how they get it. When our oldest son lived in Tennessee I would usually smuggle some back or have him bring some when they came here.

Great shop picture.
I'll bet there are a couple of sharpening stones in there.

Yep, the brewery is about 60 miles from me. It's insanely popular up here (my wife's grandfather said it always was the most popular beer that he could remember waaaaaay back in the day as well) - it's a staple in every bar room I've ever frequented in these parts. Everybody around here just calls it "lager"...Mumbleypeg wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2019 3:59 amThey claim to be America's oldest brewery, in operation since 1829. kjOne or two can improve your sharpening technique. After six you can't get the blades open!
