Schrade 72OT
I purchased a group of Schrade knives from one of the AAPK stores. I didn’t realize how small the 72OT was!
A fun little knife that I was able to breath some new life into.

That looks nice Jeff!
Just curious… Are you really fond of green or was green going on sale when you ordered?
Seriously, I noticed you have done several knives with green bone, and I know Culpepper's has two or three different shades of green, which one did you use here? It's a very clean shade of green. I'm becoming more fond of it just reading your post.
Keep up the good work Bud, you're doing great!

Nice one. That looks like the hunter green, unless I am mistaken. I don't know why I don't use green more, that color is nice!

It was on sale when I bought it awhile ago. It is hunter green (good eye glennbad!) but it was in an oddball size, very long and narrow. I’ve been looking for an opportunity to use it and these smaller, narrow knives fit the bill.
I’m a die-hard amber and mahogany guy normally but the green and red colors from Culpepper have opened my eyes to the other color possibilities. And the smooth bone seems to really allow the color to shine through.

Yes, it’s hunter green. I’m constantly amazed at how nice the color is underneath the rough, almost black color of the bone when received.
I’m pushing my boundaries a bit and forcing myself to work in colors that I probably would not select normally. And I’ve started working in more smooth bone (most of my work until recently was in jigged bone).
