My first S&M - NICE!
I was away taking part in a survival / wilderness training the last couple of weeks and managed to make a great trade for my 1st S&M. I swapped a Boker congress grand canyon jigged bone for a crimson S&M scout. The fit and finish are superb and this is now my best quality slipplie (IMO). I'm wondering if anyone has any information regarding the blade patterns on this scout, some of which are unusual to me, the awl type blade is different than most others I have seen. The dented / pinched bolsters through me for a loop as well. I do really like the small blade with the finger / thumb grove on the spine and it worked out excellent when cutting leather.

Congrats on your new S&M! Sorry, I don't know about the blade patterns. Just wanted to say Congratulations, and keep up that survivalist training

large blade is a spear, small blade is an old style can opener.
Also a bottle opener/flat head screwdriver blade, and the awl.
the premier edition of the scout was my 1st S&M

Small blade = can opener, I wouldn't have thought that. I have been using it for straight line cuts and it has been working great, I guess I'll have to open some cans now.
Thanks for the info.

The next thing he will be looking for is a can of worms to open. ...Centerfinger wrote:Small blade = can opener, I wouldn't have thought that. I have been using it for straight line cuts and it has been working great, I guess I'll have to open some cans now.

Sunburst,,,,,,,,,, hey Ralph,,,,,,,,,, where are you?
Another S&M convert. You'll be in great company, Ralph (aka Sunburst) also broke his S&M cherry here. I also have many, and they are all great knives. Hang on to it, I personally believe it'll be one of the best collectibles in the future.
