Those picture handle Jacks are great. Lovely ladies, maybe 1930's ??
A few of the others seem to be missing a shield as their major 'issue' ?
These do not have to be rejects which i think you realize. Once shields have been installed some might be quite collectible. And the Ladies could be sold one at a time on ebay.
I say: "Good Score" !

I hated to see rejected new grinds, to be unloved & rejected is just too much.treefarmer wrote:Amazing! What a great pile of Case rejects! Even some new grind rejects.![]()

Even I like the lady knives! They look pretty close to the 42nd Street era, around ‘32/‘33. I may be wrong, of course. I’m partly going by the hair.
That’s actually my favourite movie era.

Wow, I love your "rejects"! Are the ladies 99 1/2's? I can't quite read the tang stamps. From the pictures, it almost looks like they were intentionally removed.

The Lady knives are actually from 1979 and referred to as the High Art series by Case.

Great score! I have a couple of different maker's rejects and they make a fascinating accumulation. If ya ever want to "pimp" one of those ladies out;I'd be interested.

Hmmm, ‘79 eh? I’d still be willing to bet the image is a lot older than that. I wonder who she was? Too old for the Betty Page pinup era.

Glad everybody has enjoyed seeing them. I'm really having a hard time spotting what was foul on the 99 1/2's. Surprised I don't have a good one to compare & contrast.

The knife was made in 79 with an obvious older pinup picture used.

Re: YER JUST A BUNCH OF REJECTS!!!
Oh yes, I got that the knife is a ‘79. The image has me really curious. My fav movie era is the early ‘30s. She looks like she’d fit right in and I feel like I should recognize her. A lot of people think “Pinup” is a Forties thing, but of course fancy ladies go back to the beginning of photography and movies. In movie history, “The Kiss”, 1896, is sometimes considered the first “racey” film.
Anyway, it’s gonna bug me! One day I’ll be looking at a movie book and boom! There she’ll be!

Or you'll be laying or sitting around all relaxed with a wandering mind and suddenly, you'll blurt out "snikelfritz". "Snikelfritz" being the answer to what ever your conscious mind couldn't dig out. It's happened to me several times (OK a lot of times) and people look at me like I'm some kind of lunatic. Of course I am but that's for another discussion. It only gets worse Ann so embrace and enjoy the mind you have now because the day will come when it goes walk about and leaves you here to fend for yourself.

Re: YER JUST A BUNCH OF REJECTS!!!
Off hand the only movie star I can think of from that period is Mary Pickford. But I don't think she would appear in such "racy" attire. A young Mae West? Not "husky" enough I suppose.
