Old Queen Rawhide Series Knife
I bought this awhile ago and just recently got around to reworking it. It was in okay shape with the blades showing the kind of superficial damage that's common on older knives (heavy scratches, grinder marks etc.);
I rehandled it in Goldenroot bone in the RJB pattern, installed the original shield/badge and refinished the blades;
I ended up with a tiny crack at the mainspring pin. It was easily stabilized with some Zap-a-Gap but it irritated the hell out of me that it cracked! Seems like cracks occasionally happen irregardless of how careful I am. But it was the first crack out of a couple of dozen knives so I guess its not so bad. All in all I'm pretty happy with it.
Hey … it’s a pocketknife for gosh sakes. I’m not selling the Mona Lisa….Bullitt4001

Man.... That is a real beauty Jeff!
Great job on the rehab. That Zap a Gap must be some really good stuff. I need to get me some of that.
I know how it is irritating for a crack to come up around a pin. But.... I guess __IT happens as they say.
Nice work!!
