John Primble Belnap Hardware Barlow
This knife was in decent shape but was in need of some freshening up;
It didn't look too bad when disassembled. Definitely grimy and there was a little bit of tang wear (seems to be fairly common with some of the older Barlows). Still had some acceptable snap on the main blade and some alligator snap on the small blade.
I did some preliminary cleanup and selected some amber worm groove handles from Culpepper. The slabs always look so dark before finishing, its always fun to see whats hidden below the dark stain.
Preliminary fit and pre-polish of the bone slabs; And here it is finished;

Another beauty Jeff!
I love the "street rod flame" worm groove bone. I am glad you are moving around and using different Culpepper bone so I can see some "end result" pics!
Great job.... as usual!

In general I am not a fan of worm groove bone, but with skillful hafting and sanding the bone, you got it to work, it looks good on that Barlow!
Nice job!
