Re: Remington knives with an etch
I have been looking for this Remington Scout knife for a long time. Finally got the Pioneer Boys Remington. Like the RS3333 but with the pioneer shield. Zoom in to look at the shield as well as shadow left of the rem etch, not a boy scout etch. The knife has obviously been cleaned up some but I am happy to add this to my collection.
I know nothing about this group. Hopefully Mike Baker or someone can help me out with information.

The YMCA scout knife is interesting .
The R1306 is a great example even with the off gassing damage.

Thanks guys. Looked it up and it is the Y pioneers group of the ymca. Started in the United States ymca in 1928 for boys aged 9 to 13. There were versions levels the kids could get to and get different pins similar to the shield on the knife. More info on google.

This picture is a R2403 Switchblade made by Schrade for Remington. It is approximately 5" closed.

Wonderful knife Jerry. Do you have the 4 inch version? Tough little knife to find. I don’t have mint versions as your 5 inch knife but my 4 inch knife is near mint. Hope you are successful in your search. Take care, John

Re: Remington knives with an etch
Thank you John. I do not have R2303. I wasn’t looking for this R2403, but couldn’t pass it up when I saw it. I do have the Case Tested XX 61214 1/2 and 61215 1/2 which are equivalent to the R2303 and R2403, respectively. Schrade also made the Case renditions.pearlroosterman wrote:Do you have the 4 inch version?
