My next project knife

I haven’t worked on a Remington knife yet so when this beat up beauty became available I picked it up;

Not sure if I’m going to replace the ground down Spey blade or if I’m going to eliminate it. I’ll have to look through my spare blades and see if there’s on that will work.
The pivot pin for this knife was really in there, it took quite a bit of effort to get all of the pins removed. Aside from the grubbiness, it seems pretty solid;

Gotta take a look in the bone box to see what’s available. The knife bolsters are on the thinner side so I can probably use a set of the thinner bone slabs that I have.

Jeff, I can't wait to see what you do with that one. I almost bid on it, but didn't want to mess with searching for a replacement for the ground down pen. On another note, I really like the goldenroot you put on that Boker barlow. Carry on my friend!

I just re-handled it in royal blue jigged bone. And I found a Spey blade that should work with a little tang re-formatting. I’ll post some more images here when I get farther along.
And yes, that goldenroot bone was a real stunner! I just ordered some more of it for a few other projects that I’ve got waiting in the project box.
I love how those bone slabs come to life once they’re sanded and polished!

So I ended up replacing both small blades, cleaning up the main blade and putting royal blue jigged bone handles on it.

It turned out okay for a knife that was destined for the scrap pile.

It's a beauty Jeff! GREAT job on the blades and she shore 'nuff cleaned up nice!

I have never been partial to blue scales (for some reason ???) but that color of royal is really nice!
