Winchester Knives?

I was just wondering if there was any interest in some of the older Winchester knives and if so, which ones?
Pics would be appreciated if you can post them.

i dont own any winchester knives, but interestingly enough, i know of a local guy here that buys, sells and trades on knives. he has a shop set up at his house and i was there this weekend and saw some really nice winchester knives. now, i mostly collect case and dont know a whole lot about winchester, but these were all genuine stag handles and looked really nice. i asked him about them and he said he had purchased them from an old hardware store that had gone out of buisness. he said they were old knives and he had many different patterns. i cant remember them all but i do remember a fish tale pattern among them. i was there looking for mostly older case knives, but just had to take a few minutes to look them over. they were priced mostly between 50.00 to 100.00. i wish i had some pictures to share, but unfortunately i dont.

How do you define "older"....the original pre-WWII Winchester knives or the 1980's to current Winchesters made for Bluegrass Cutlery.

I suspect that those "old hardware store" knives are the Bluegrass versions....auithentic mint preWWII Winchesters would go for $$$$$$.

Its funny I looked at some mid-80's stamped Case knives once, the seller told me that they "came out of an old hardware store"....bad enough with 80's tang marks, but the boxes still had the K-Mart stickers on them.

i dont know how old they were. as i said, i dont know alot about winchester knives. he told me they were purchased from an old hardware store that went out of buisness. if i were to make a guess on them and knowing little to nothing about them as i do, i would guess they were probably made in the 80s but i could be wrong. the stag handles looked very nice....comparible in my opinion to the stag that case uses or has used and while i dont collect that brand, i do notice alot of knives and havent seen any new winchester knives with that quality of stag handles today.....in my opinion. if i had known anything about the brand, i may have purchased a couple.

No doubt the pre WWII knives would be some major bucks, but I have saw some of the 80's - 90's Winchesters that were nice looking knives.... I was just curious as to their worth.
I have a Winchester that I bought back in the early 90's that is as beautiful knife as you would want, "doctors knife" design, and it's probably not worth the 25 bucks I paid for it back then..... but like I said it's a nice looking knife and I'll keep it in my collection regardless of value.

Hi,
I mainly collect Scout/Utility patterns. This is an older Winchester 4901 camper I own. You will not see a lot of them with the etch still there.
