That big Case Sodbuster would be my choice. They have always seemed to be great choice for a working man’s knife. The Ulster ain’t half bad either.

I'd be tickled with that Ulster Scout knife! It still has the etch visible on the blade. I have one just like it that I carried in the Scouts. It's worn out, no snap left but lots of memories!

Kinda hate to show my flea mkt. junk, after those pretties dir110 and farmer are showing off. These 2 don't look to of been sharpened or carried much, but the Uster has a few spots on it a the Case a pin crack, little super glue and it looks like it's ready to go.

No Sir, don't hold back. You keep showing us all you have. Those are the usually knives I find, it's just this is a special trip so I'm going to buy some different type knives than are my usually. Keep'um coming!

This was my only find today, but it was after looking at very many in different shops. This is one I bought from the craftsman Tom Cooper of Soldotna, AK. He has been here for 22 years making knives from natural materials. This knife has a stone blade and sun dried moose antler handle. He also handcrafts many other ornaments and display items like the ones pictured.

That's some interesting work! The knife I can fathom but the carving in/on the moose antler is just simply amazing. The detail is incredible!

Thanks for the kind words fellers, as I said both knives have had very little use, just some poor storage and I figure at 30 bucks for the pair I ain't hurting to bad. Beautiful carvings and knife. quite a talented man.

Of all the places anywhere, I found this Ulu knife at a Salvation Army store in Homer, AK. The other two were made by a local craftsman living "off the grid" somewhere near Kachemak Bay.
Handle on the left is Caribou and on the right is Moose.

Back from flea market yesterday....got some Case parts knives, Cutco, and a little Bison charm knife

Jackknifeben, I’d be having kittens over the Pal if I hadn’t got my own a few months ago, oddly enough, from my neighbour!
I’ve never been into ulus, but I do like the Russlock. Go figure!

Here is my weekend haul.
This is my first marked silver fruit knife. I dated it to 1933. It’s a beauty!
The old horn handled multi has no name. I suspect it’s quite old. I’m not entirely sure the blade are stainless. They seem to be plated. Nickle, perhaps? Maybe chrome?
The camo Case was another $5 Bucket O’ Knives guy catch. The guys at the bbq said I stole it!
Last we have a little Gentleman’s. You know, I almost wonder if it’s actually shell, not cell. It seems to be more organic on the edges. Anyway, it’s a brand I haven’t seen. I bought it from one of my regular Red Barn guys, more to help him out. A lot of the tables have been closing. It’s hard for the vendors to make their rent. Nobody has spending money anymore.
Well, apparently I do - or did, before I got out of there!

Great haul Ann!!! doglegg my wife and sister in law are in town right now and they are suppose to bring back a new suitcase for us to carry back all of our Alaskan Plunder.

Didn't think I was going knife hunting today, but we had to go into town for a couple of things and there just happen to be a store that I had not been in yet. And what do you know two more for knives for the pile.

The top one is a single blade bockback by Lockwood Brothers Sheffield, England. Carbon blade, bone handle, nickel/silver bolsters and steel pins.
The bottom is a two blade Stainless Steel folding knife. Unknown metal handle, it is not magnetic, so I'm not sure. The figures on the handle are impressed. It's a beautiful knife.

I wasn't going to look for any knives today, just wildlife, but the others keep taking me to places that had knives. All of those knives have great "walk & talk" especially the Camillus military knife. All the blades are in perfect condition and there is no evidence of rust anywhere, which is strange in this climate. I also picked up another bone and stone knife with an antler stand. I'm a hat guy also, so I've picked up some hats and of all things a rattlesnake hatband at an estate sale we came across. As much as I screamed like a girl about the snakes on the Outdoorsman Thread a snake hatband doesn't bother me.

I’ll just comment here that I worked with dozens of snakes and handled them quite happily. I also used to eat my lunch beside a tank that held a six foot Eastern Diamondback named Jelly Roll.
Just sayin’...
