Score of the year for me! My wife and I were traveling to see relatives and stopped at a small outdoor flea market. That's when I spied this bowie. I figured it was Pakistani because it was the only knife on the table and was priced at $25. I think I was trembling when I pulled out my wallet. This is the best knife find I've made in a LONG time.

Gun show find. Case XX Kodiak 100 anniv. from 1989, mint in the box. It's just too pretty to use so I'm guessing most all of these made are in collections instead of on a belt.____Dave

Nice find! Those are gorgeous knives. I wonder if anyone does get one to use? I bet it'd make a good Skinner, but I wouldn't use it for that!

Nothing to compare to what you fellers are finding, but I turned one up that I had wanted to add to my tl- 29 type knives, a Jackson for the Case and a Lincoln for the crowning rooster.

Nice catch’s, gentlemen! Bfeldman, there’s something about that’s old breadknife. I don’t usually pay much attention to kitchen items, but that one is kind of yelling at me. Cool!
Here’s my new additions.
The little white celluloid is a Richards. (To nobody’s great surprise... )
The silver Gent’s is a Clauss. I looked it up and naturally, I ended up right here at home! It’s posted over in Knife Lore in a Clauss thread.
The silver plating is rather thin on the one end, but compared to what it looked like when I got it, I’m pretty happy with it. $5 Cdn, no complaints!

Wild guess but I’m going to say early 1900’s by the style. I can’t quite make out the tang stamp, unless it’s actually a Case. Is it silver?
It’s very nice anyway, and I really like it!

Isn't that INOX on the blade? Probably Italian or German. Maybe a tourist knife for those visiting Lourdes.

The tang stamp is definitely IONX, which is stainless. INOX is French for "Acier inoxydable" which means "Stainless Steel", "NON OXIDIZABLE" or "RUST FREE." Same as the German tang stamp "ROSTFREI." This is a typical tang stamp on a blade.

I agree with doglegg about it being a souvenir of Lourdes, France (Our Lady Of Lourdes).

I picked up a couple at the Cloverdale Swapmeet today.
My keeper is the big Japan made Sabre. It’s destined for a camping kit. The main blade has a slight wobble but a bit of attention with a punch ought to fix that.
There’s something weird about this knife. The scales are quite different colours. If you look at the edges though, they match. I’m guessing it’s Delrin. If you look close, you can see saw marks on the side.
The other is s little multi knife. My son’s girlfriend loves foxes and this little guy jumped right out of the bin! He’s going to be a gift.

Got some good scrounging in this past weekend. The Joseph Rodgers wire cutter multi tool circa WWI is the rarest find but the unusual folding scissors are a great find too.
