Thanks for showing that. Mr. Buck is a good spokesman. But he might have acknowledged that he does make some knives in China.

I thought the same thing QS. They import the Walmart type knives from China but still make all the iconic Buck Knives in the USA. Guess they are trying to keep both segments of business (quality, buy USA customers and the "low price is my primary focus" customers). OH

That would be a unique looking knife.zoogirl wrote:Sunknife, that very pretty rosewood just gave me an idea.![]()
I’d love to have a rosewood knife with wires crossing it to make it look like a miniature fretboard. Throw in the MOP dots too.
I bet our guitar, banjo and uke players would snap that up!
Hmmm, I wonder if it’s out there?
Good looking variety of knives being posted today as usual everyone, makes for some fine viewing.
Here are my two for the day.

Any day that ends in "y" is a good day to carry a Buck!Old Hunter wrote:Recent Fox News report featuring C.J. Buck of Buck Knives. OH

Agreed, certainly to act as a point of contrast for "Made in America" week. It should be acknowledged that many major cutlers still in business are using the Pacific Rim to manufacture at least some of their knives. Boker has weathered issues in both the U.S. and Germany by having some knives built with German-sourced steel in China, and you can see a slight difference despite the fact that the parts all seem to be machined to the same tolerances, or close enough for "gubmint work". What pleases me about these makers is that they still endeavor to make USA-made quality blades available to those who will buy them. I think of this when I purchase a new knife from these makers, or makers like Case who have managed to stay wholly or mostly in the States, and the cost doesn't even bother me.Quick Steel wrote:Thanks for showing that. Which reminds me. I think it's about time to select a Buck 110 auto...
Thanks, David!DM11 wrote:That's a fine pair of knives Tony!
Today's "Totally Overcast Tuesday" knives haven't had much more to do than cut a couple sausages and help clean up the ear cups on some headphones I particularly like.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
I have some little complaint about most every knife I have, or maybe make up one if I can't find a real one. But I just don't have any problem with this Boker. It's so sweet.Tsar Bomba wrote:You're not the only one who had a hankering for a copperhead today, geocash.
