I recently bought this knife and noticed something odd........The Case numbering for 1970-1979 is:
First Line: CASE XX
Second Line: U.S.A.
Third Line: . (One Dot 1979)
On the Second line my knife only has USA..with no dots between the U the S and the A....not like my other 1970-1979 knives with U.S.A.
Is this knife real? It does not have a Case Shield....which is not as odd to me...............it is a very well made knife and very nice appaloosa bone...just wonder about it.

Thank you,
Mine looks exactly like yours.
Did you ever wonder about the USA though?
