Case 06247

Could some one give me some information about the Case 06247 pattern? I wonder when Case made them, when they stopped. It is a 3 7/8" with a clip and pen? Does the Case version have a single spring? Does Case have a specific name for them? I have a Western Boulder and a Schrade in that pattern, both with California clip and a little shorter OAL. Nice slim pattern for the pocket. I think the Case versions are pretty collectible? Thanks

Hello thawk, I have a 47 pattern that is a tested, it is yellow handle. Jim Sargent told me he thought it was really white. That would make it a 4247. It is not stamped with a pattern no.
like most tested knives. Jim said after time the white will turn yellow. Clip and spay. Single back spring.

The 06247 was made with a single backspring and with a clip master and a pen secondary blade....it was made that way - bone handles - from the Tested years until the 80's...1982 or 1983. Some were made with delrin substituting for bone in the 70's.

The pattern was also made with a clip master and spey secondary blades, in stag handles and in smooth white composition...in the XX and into the USA era but discontinued mid to late 60's.

Thanks for the information. I like the slimness of the pattern, and the length of the Case version, plus their bone handles makes it attractive. I never use a spey blade on a stockman anyway. May have to go hunting for one.

A white knife don't turn that yeller, does it? Is your yellow 47 plastic or bone Stockman?

The big one is a 47 and in bone...and only 1 year newer than UpNorths!

He ussually can pull some beauty from before Christ was born out! (I really like UpNorths Jack Knife collection the whole thing must be amazing.)
